Salary range: $100,000 to $135,000
Travel: Minimal travel as required to support customer meetings and mission requirements.
Background: Vectrona is seeking an experienced Senior Schedule Analyst to support Navy ship maintenance and modernization programs through the development, integration, analysis, and management of Integrated Production Schedules (IPS). This position serves as a subject matter expert in production scheduling, schedule risk analysis, and maintenance planning, ensuring complex maintenance availability is executed efficiently while supporting on time delivery and mission readiness.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Develop, integrate, and maintain Integrated Production Schedules (IPS) for ship maintenance availabilities using Microsoft Project, Primavera, and Navy scheduling systems.
- Analyze data from Navy maintenance systems, including NMD, SMDII, and AMS, to evaluate schedule performance, forecast manpower and project duration, and support cost and resource planning.
- Perform schedule risk and critical path analyses, identify potential impacts to project execution, and recommend mitigation strategies to support on time delivery.
- Validate production sequencing, testing requirements, and key milestones while ensuring maintenance and restoration activities are properly integrated into the IPS.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Chief Test Engineers, Government personnel, and maintenance stakeholders to resolve scheduling issues and support production and testing activities.
- Update and revise production schedules in response to changing project requirements while providing recommendations to improve schedule execution and overall project performance.
- Participate in Work Package Integration Conferences (WPIC), Work Package Execution Reviews (WPER), and other planning meetings to resolve schedule integration issues.
- Prepare schedule analyses, risk assessments, reports, and briefings to support Government decision making and maintenance planning.
Preferred Education/Degree:
- Bachelor’s degree in management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI SP), or equivalent scheduling certification is preferred.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting Navy maintenance, modernization, ship repair, engineering, or operations analysis programs.
- Demonstrated expertise in Integrated Production Scheduling (IPS), schedule risk analysis, and critical path methodology.
- Experience using Microsoft Project, Primavera, and Navy maintenance systems including NMD, SMDII, and AMS.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Navy maintenance philosophy, ship repair scheduling processes, production and test scheduling, and system restoration planning.
- Working with knowledge of naval architecture, marine engineering, electrical systems, shipboard testing, and work control processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical recommendations for complex scheduling challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting analyses and recommendations to Government leadership and project teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
