Background: Vectrona is seeking a mission-driven Strategic Planning and Engagement Analyst to support U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFF) with high-level strategy, congressional engagement, and executive communication. This full-time position is focused on the execution of strategic planning tasks, development of analytical deliverables, and creation of polished, executive-level materials to inform senior Navy leadership and support operational readiness. The selected individual will operate as a key member of a collaborative team, applying data analysis, policy research, and strategic insight to drive engagement initiatives and inform fleet-level decision-making.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Support the development of the Commander’s Vision and Guidance (V&G) and strategic planning artifacts
- Create executive-level briefings, information papers, and strategic communication products
- Conduct SWOT assessments, COA analysis, and develop Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms)
- Provide research and develop engagement content for senior leader and congressional interactions
- Maintain databases tracking strategic and congressional engagements; analyze effectiveness metrics
- Translate complex data and operational priorities into clear, actionable insights for leadership
- Collaborate across USFF directorates and liaise with stakeholders to ensure alignment and continuity.
Preferred Education/Degree:
- Master’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree with an additional 3 years of equivalent experience (for a minimum total of 7 years’ experience).
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated specific experience in advanced communication, project development, and strategic engagement support.
- 4+ years of experience in strategic plan development, data analytics, COA analysis, or Navy programmatic research
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook for executive-level deliverables
- Demonstrated experience producing senior-level briefing materials and communication tools
- Strong familiarity with Navy organizational structure, operational readiness, and command-level staffing
- Active Secret clearance required; ability to support classified and unclassified deliverables
