Position/Title: Logistics Management Specialist- Unmanned Systems
Status: Full Time
Duty Location: San Diego (on-site)
Security: SECRET (Must have active secret security clearance.)

Background: Vectrona is seeking a Logistics Management Specialist for Unmanned Systems will provide inventory management, maintenance oversight, and technical expertise for Unmanned Systems, including remotely operated vehicles (ROV), unmanned ground vehicles (UGV), unmanned surface vehicles (USV), and unmanned aerial systems (UAS). This individual will ensure operational readiness by implementing effective lifecycle management, maintenance strategies, and modernization efforts for Unmanned Systems under EODGRU ONE’s Table of Allowance (TOA).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory and Maintenance Management:
- Oversee the distribution, tracking, and accountability of Unmanned Systems in the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
- Conduct regular assessments of Unmanned Systems to evaluate their material condition and operational readiness.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure continuous functionality and reduce downtime.
Modernization and Lifecycle Management:
- Recommend and coordinate modernization efforts to enhance the performance and capabilities of Unmanned Systems.
- Maintain detailed records of system updates, modifications, and configuration changes in databases like CDMD-OA.
- Ensure adherence to lifecycle management principles to optimize the service life of equipment.
Logistical Coordination:
- Manage the issue, receipt, and movement of Unmanned Systems across EODGRU ONE commands.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including Type Desks and supporting TOA Commodity Managers, to meet operational requirements.
- Support the preparation and transportation of equipment for deployment, training, and operational evaluations.
Analysis and Reporting:
- Prepare technical reports on inventory status, maintenance issues, and operational readiness.
- Analyze data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions or improvements to processes.
- Participate in decision-making processes by providing expertise on equipment readiness and logistical planning.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with EODGRU ONE N43 staff, subordinate commands, and other government and contractor personnel.
- Serve as a subject matter expert during briefings, field evaluations, and operational meetings.
- Provide training and guidance to personnel involved in the operation or maintenance of Unmanned Systems.
Compliance and Security:
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant DOD and DON policies, including inventory and maintenance management regulations.
- Maintain an active SECRET clearance and protect sensitive information related to Unmanned Systems.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, engineering, computer science or related field. Equivalent military or professional experience.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of specialized experience Unmanned systems.
- Strong understanding of logistics management processes and TOA requirements within Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) or a similar context.
- Proficiency in DPAS and other logistics and maintenance management systems.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for creating documentation, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and senior-level stakeholders.
- Familiarity with NAVFAC TOA Viewer, MFOM, and related DOD/DON software applications is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Specialized Expertise:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing Unmanned Systems (ROV/UGV/USV/UAS), including maintenance, modernization, and inventory processes.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with NAVFAC TOA Viewer, Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), and other DOD inventory and maintenance management systems.
- Proficiency in maintenance scheduling systems like SKED PMS Scheduler and technical databases like CDMD-OA.
- Competency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis.
Analytical Skills:
- Strong ability to assess Unmanned Systems readiness, recommend maintenance actions, and implement modernization plans.
Communication:
- Superior written and verbal communication skills for presenting reports, collaborating with diverse teams, and coordinating with senior leadership.
- Problem Solving:
- Proven capability to resolve maintenance and logistical challenges for Unmanned Systems in both operational and training environments.
- Active SECRET clearance is required.
