Logistics Management Specialist for Expeditionary Mine Counter Measures (ExMCM)


Position/Title: Logistics Management Specialist- ExMCM

Status: Full Time

Duty Location: San Diego (on-site)

Security: SECRET (Must have ACTIVE security clearance)

Background: Vectrona is seeking a Logistics Management Specialist for Expeditionary Mine Counter Measures (ExMCM) systems will provide inventory management, maintenance oversight, and technical expertise to support EODGRU ONE’s Table of Allowance (TOA) requirements. The role involves ensuring the readiness and accountability of ExMCM systems through comprehensive lifecycle management processes, supporting operational needs, and contributing to long-term maintenance planning.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the distribution, maintenance, and inventory of ExMCM systems in alignment with EODGRU ONE objectives.
  • Assess and recommend maintenance and modernization actions to improve material readiness.
  • Develop and execute long-term maintenance and distribution plans for ExMCM systems.
  • Collaborate with EODGRU ONE staff, subordinate commands, and external stakeholders to address intermediate and depot-level maintenance issues.
  • Provide detailed analysis and reporting on ExMCM system conditions and lifecycle requirements.
  • Support the tracking of ExMCM equipment within the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) and other applicable databases.
  • Coordinate the issue, receipt, and transfer of ExMCM systems between commands to ensure operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in field evaluations and operational testing of ExMCM systems to identify potential improvements or corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of specialized experience in Expeditionary Mine Counter Measures (ExMCM) systems.
  • Strong understanding of logistics management processes and TOA requirements within Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) or a similar context.
  • Proficiency in DPAS and other logistics and maintenance management systems.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for creating documentation, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and senior-level stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with NAVFAC TOA Viewer, MFOM, and related DOD/DON software applications is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

Specialized Expertise:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing Expeditionary Mine Counter Measures (ExMCM) systems, including lifecycle maintenance, modernization, and inventory processes.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

  • Familiarity with NAVFAC TOA Viewer, Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), and related Department of Defense (DOD) logistics and maintenance systems.
  • Competency in configuration management databases like Configuration Data Managers Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) and Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM).
  • Proficient in creating detailed analysis and reports using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Analytical Skills:

  • Ability to assess equipment material conditions, recommend corrective actions, and provide modernization recommendations based on operational needs.

Communication:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a proven ability to interact effectively with government personnel, contractors, and military stakeholders.

Problem Solving:

  • Strong capability to solve logistical challenges involving ExMCM systems and provide practical courses of action for repair and operational readiness.
